Sheela is a popular Indian film actress who works predominantly in Malayalam cinema. She was born on 22 March 1949. Sheela alongside Prem Nazir, holds the Guinness World Record for acting in the largest number of films (107) together as heroine and hero. Sheela won the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the Malayalam film Akale in 2005. Sheela was born in a Syrian Christian family to Railway officer Kanimangalam Antony and Gracyin Thrissur, Kingdom of Cochin (now Kerala). She spent most of her childhood in Ooty. sheela got married to Tamil actor Ravichandran and the couple has a son George. The couple split and sheela got married to Xavier,whom she also divorced later. Sheela has also authored a Malayalam novel named Pathamathe Cheque and has also written a book titled Kuilinte Koodu apart from many short stories. sheela is also a painter and an interior designer by profession. Sheela was started acting in theater at the age of 13 as she was introduced to it by Tamil actor S. S. Rajendran. She made her film acting debut at the age of 17 in T. R. Ramanna’s Tamil film Paasam (1962). She received Kerala State Film Award for Best Actress thrice during her film career in 1969, 1971, and 1976 for her amazing performances. She has also won other awards such as Kerala State Film Awards, the Lux award and the Filmfare Lifetime Achievement award.
